As you might have guessed from the name, Growlers Pourhouse is serious about beer. How serious? Serious enough that they use a restored, antique 1936 Gaskell & Chambers beer engine to hand pump cask ales at cellar temperature, as they're supposed to be. Serious enough that their cocktail menu is dedicated to drinks containing beer. And serious enough that they hold free beer education classes on the first Tuesday of every month. The selection isn't overwhelming, but it doesn't need to be — the carefully curated list offers more than enough variety to make for an interesting visit.
