We're not sure what being the "highest" pub in Ireland has to do with actually being worth visiting, but luckily Johnnie Fox's Pub has a lot more going for it. Situated in the mountains roughly 30 minutes outside Dublin, Fox's is one of the country's oldest pubs — it was established in 1798 — offering live music every night, a fireplace to gather 'round while sipping on a pint, free Wi-Fi, and plenty of draft goodness. For an even more authentic experience, make reservations for one of the pub's Hooley nights, which features a four-course meal, a live Irish music session, and a show by Fox's Irish dancers.
