What better way to spend Thanksgiving than by visiting the spot where it all started? Plimoth Plantation is dedicated to telling the story of the historic settlement through both experiences and exhibits. Along with a museum, the grounds include a full-scale reproduction of the Mayflower, a re-creation of the community built by Pilgrims on the shore of Plymouth Harbor, a re-creation of a Native American homesite, and a theater. Just be sure to get there early — dinner starts at 5:30.
