An artist as enigmatic as Salvador Dalí deserves an equally insane place to view his art — and The Dali Museum is exactly that. Located right on Tampa Bay, the building is a concrete rectangle with a free-form geodesic glass bubble bursting out, and also features a helical staircase, a mathematical garden, and an outdoor labyrinth. Inside, you'll find 96 oil paintings by Dalí — the amazing Gala Contemplating the Mediterranean Sea which at Twenty Meters Becomes the Portrait of Abraham Lincoln and The Hallucinogenic Toreador among them — as well as drawings, prints, sculpture, photos, and mixed media pieces. Think of the place as the antithesis of nearby Tropicana Field.
