Yes, you read that correctly — California's most notorious (operating) prison has its very own store. Luckily, you don't have to enter through the gates to visit the San Quentin Prison Gift Shop, but you can find artifacts from the inside there. In fact, there's an entire handicraft section full of stuff made by inmates, including clocks, artwork, and wallets, the proceeds from which go back to the inmates, who can then use them to buy sundries, more art supplies, or just send the money back to their families. And don't worry — they still sell the typical tees, mugs, and shot glasses for those looking for normal souvenirs. [via]
