There are plenty of old buildings in NYC, but few businesses have kept their same character on the inside as the Old Town Bar. This simple, old-school bar first opened in 1891, and is nearly the same now as it was then — only we imagine the drinks are a little pricer now. It managed to survive Prohibition by operating as a speakeasy, and also boasts dumbwaiters that are the city's oldest active food conveyors. Come for the ambiance, stay for the drinks.
