It's not really an inn — you're only spending the night there if you pass out in one of the barstools — nor is it fancy, but at least the Railroad Inn does have some connection to the railroad: it sits right underneath it. Seated underneath the Long Island tracks, this commuter-filled hole-in-the-wall dishes out plenty of cheap cold drinks and attitude to go along with it, as well as frequent live music. And don't worry if the music's not your thing — you'll have periodical breaks from the sound in the form of the trains, which shake the entire place when they roll in.
