Some places simply try to look like a speakeasy. Singlebarrel takes it one step farther. Located downstairs in a SoFA district basement — look for the barrel above the door — this low-key bar eschews modern implements like the soda gun and mixes, instead hand-squeezing its juices, muddling, stirring, and shaking like they did in the days of old, and offering up both classic and more contemporary cocktails with service befitting of such carefully-crafted libations.
