Soggy Dollar Bar

Set on an island named for a particularly nasty Dutch pirate and requiring a boat to get there, the Soggy Dollar Bar is at once relatively famous and a hidden jewel of the Caribbean. Taking its name from the fact that you have to swim from your boat to reach the bar, this oceanside institution is best known as the birthplace of the Painkiller, a potent mix of dark rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, orange juice, and freshly shaved nutmeg that will have you forgetting about your boat — and pretty much everything else — in no time.
