Housed in a former steak house from the 1940s — the building was originally the shape of a T-bone — The Bier Garden of Encinitas has moved on from burnt meat to more hoppy matters. The indoor/outdoor design retains much of the historic building, while providing plenty of space to dish out brews from the 32 taps — all pouring SoCal labels. There's a retro cocktail menu as well, including bloody marys with beer chasers — and since they kept the kitchen, there's also some California coastal, local, and beer-focused food available as well.
