The plaque out front declares the place to be "America's Oldest Tavern, and judging by the fact that it was built in 1652, we're not going to argue. The White Horse Tavern has been serving up boozy refreshments since 1673, and is still doing so today, having survived with only six owners in 350 years. Inside, you'll find a carefully restored interior, excellent food offerings for lunch, dinner, and brunch, and a full bar with friendly, knowledgeable bartenders. But let's face it — you're really here to enjoy the ambiance, and you'll find plenty of that here, too.
