Lots of great hotels have spawned award-winning restaurants — but it's rare when things happen the other way around. Originally opened as a restaurant in 1981, Auberge Du Soleil has become one of the premier resorts in Napa Valley. In addition to killer views, this oasis offers standard rooms, suites, and private maisons, a spa, a bistro and bar, sculpture garden, a pool with cabanas, and the aforementioned, Michelin-starred restaurant. It's pretty much the perfect place to end up after a long day of winery-hopping.
Our great thanks to Cadillac for sponsoring the launch of Gallivant. Be sure to check out the all-new Cadillac ATS.
