Most hotels and resorts try as hard as possible to keep you at the hotel. Which is why Hotel Metropole is such a breath of fresh air. Although it does feature opulent accommodations, an on-site spa, close proximity to and incredible food courtesy of Joël Robuchon, the hotel also offers a number of day excursions meant to get you up and moving away from the property. Whether you want to drive an F1 car, fly in a fighter plane, visit a chateau, or spend your day on a yacht, they have you covered. And while we suspect that none of those are particularly cheap, if you're spending a holiday in Monaco, odds are you're not too worried about the cost.
