Luckily, you can get a taste of it with a night at the completely-on-the-ground Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi. Ideally located in historic downtown Santa Fe, NM, the 58-room hotel is inspired by the aforementioned dwellings, and features sandstone walls, hand-sewn carpets and rugs, hand-carved doors, and kiva fireplaces.
