When we wrote about the Pabst brewery going up for sale, we certainly didn't expect this. The Brewhouse Inn & Suites is a new hotel built inside the remnants of the brewery's buildings 20 and 21. It's now home to 90 guest rooms spread across six floors, including studio, one-, and two-bedroom suites, each of which is unique, and offers a fully-equipped kitchenette. Of course, this is a reclamation project and not a rebuild, and as such you'll find details like tables and headboards made from repurposed joists, a front desk made from old beer bottles, and a stained glass window — featuring King Gambrinus, the patron saint of brewers — that's over 100 years old. Oh, and Jackson's Blue Ribbon Pub is also on-site, giving you a chance to order a beer at the same place they used to make it.
