Named for the Native American tribe that once inhabited the area, this Unique Inns lodge opened in 1970 in Oregon's southwest corner, just 40 miles from California and seven miles from the Pacific on a spot along the Rogue River. Sixteen rooms, two suites, and three full houses are available for booking, all with an arts-and-crafts feel, while the main lodge features a large river-rock fireplace, an inviting bar, and a dining room with excellent food.
