Just because a place is in a hotel doesn't mean it's not good — in fact, many times it's the contrary. Take the Havana Beach Bar & Grill for example. This new eatery features a hand-carved mahogany bar inspired by Hemingway's Havana home, a large open dining area with views of Main Street and the Gulf, and cool touches like bongo drum lamps. As for the food, the menu focuses on Southern comfort-style food with a Cuban kick, and includes crab-infused corn chowder, shrimp n' grits, chicken biscuits, and even a bacon sampler with bacon cured to different flavors. Of course, they didn't build that bar to serve coffee, and as such the place is also a great spot to grab a classic cocktail — like the obvious Hemingway Daiquiri. Have one too many? Don't worry, there's a comfy room not far away.
