Planning on making the journey to SXSW in a couple weeks? Do yourself a favor and make the hour drive northwest for some grub at the Blue Bonnet Cafe. In business since 1929 and in its current digs since 1946, this Texas institution is known all over for its outstanding breakfast, killer homemade pies, and friendly waitstaff. Of course, you don't have to get breakfast — they also offer downhome staples like chicken fried steak, fried catfish, and pot roast — but it is served all day, so you can get it if you want it.
