Any place that has "shack" in the name instantly conveys a sense of casualness (except for RadioShack, but that's a whole other story). And while Carnitas' Snack Shack is casual in its atmosphere — you order at a window out front and grab a seat at the patio out back of this North Park spot — but the food is anything but. Chef Hanis Cavin's daily-changing menu offers up a host of pork-based treats — including the expected carnitas tacos — and other specialties that offer tons of flavor for the price, with all the ingredients coming from local and family farmers, ranchers, and bakers.
