With a name like that, you might think the folks at Dryhop Brewers like beer. And you'd be right. Opening this week, this combination brewery and kitchen serves up beer that's brewed on site and is only available in Lakeview, as well as sophisticated eats designed to go perfectly with the brews. The beers include six hoppy varieties, while the food, all of which is prepared from scratch and as locally sourced as possible, ranges from scotch eggs and pig's head fritters to burgers and fried chicken. Whiskey and wine are available if beer's not your thing, and growlers are available if you want to take some tasty suds home — but with a Kaper Design interior that features a custom-crafted, 50-foot bar, inviting butcher block-style tables, and an overall friendly-yet-industrial feel, you may not want to leave.
