Founded in 1949, one look out at the Pacific from the patio at Nepenthe is all you need to understand this eatery's longevity. Located right by Mule Canyon Creek, this picturesque restaurant is open for lunch and dinner year-round, with the former dominated by the must-try Ambrosiaburger, sandwiches, and salads, and the latter featuring steak, seafood, and poultry. Of course, no seaside spot is complete without some tasty libations, and Nepenthe doesn't disappoint, with a number of classic cocktails, coffee-based drinks, a solid beer selection, and, of course, a solid selection of wines.
