Yes, there are tons of pizza places in New York — but if you want the most authentic pie you can find, Totonno's is a good place to start. This Brooklyn institution was started in 1924 by Antonio "Totonno" Pero, the guy otherwise known for being the employee who first started selling tomato pies made in a coal-fired brick oven at Lombardi's in 1905. Oh, and plan on staying a while — unlike some other establishments, they only serve pizza by the pie.
