Furka Pass

Let's face it: most of the roads we drive we take simply to get from point A to point B. Not so with the Furka Pass. This high-altitude route through the Swiss Alps connects Gletsch in Valais and Realp in Uri, hitting heights of nearly 8,000 ft on the trip. The altitude, while impressive, isn't the draw here, however — it's the curvy trail you take, letting you test the limits of your European rental in the process.
